From Design to Craftsmanship

It All Begins with an Idea

Every piece we create begins with a story — sometimes sparked by a creature from nature, other times by a fleeting moment we believe deserves to be immortalized in metal.

For complex designs like our Mechanical Hand Pendant, the concept phase alone can last 2 to 6 months. We'll go through dozens of sketches, rework structure after structure, and discard countless prototypes until the vision feels just right.

Not Your Average Jewelry Modeling

Unlike traditional jewelry modeling — which often uses 2D vector shapes or simple CAD geometry — we take our modeling techniques from the film and game industries.

We digitally sculpt every texture and layer: the scales on a dragon, the sinews on a beast's paw, or the mechanical joints of a hand. These details go far beyond what wax carving or basic CAD can achieve. Why? Because we're not just designing for aesthetics. We're designing for depth, dimension, and storytelling.

Ancient Craft Meets Modern Precision: Lost-Wax Casting

Once the model is finalized, we bring it into the real world using lost-wax casting — an ancient Chinese technique that allows us to capture extreme levels of detail in metal.

Molten metal is then poured in to create the final piece.

The process involves creating a wax prototype, encasing it in a mold, and then melting the wax to leave a void.

This method is more time-consuming and expensive than modern casting—but it's the only way to faithfully translate our digital sculptures into physical reality.

Over 20 Handmade Processes, One Masterpiece

Even after casting, the journey is far from over.

Each piece undergoes over 20 hand-finishing processes — from wax repair, vacuum casting, and precision welding, to Hand inlaid, oxidation, patina, and polishing. Our Mechanical Hand Pendant, for instance, takes over 6 hours of manual labor—excluding months of design and modeling.

We do this not because it's easy—but because it's worth it.

Why We Do It This Way

Because beauty shouldn't be flat. Meaning shouldn't be surface-level.

We believe a pendant can carry a message. A sculpted claw can hold a memory. A turning mechanism can symbolize a choice. Every detail we build — from the texture of a mammoth to the twist of a serpent — exists for a reason. And we believe you deserve jewelry that reflects your story, not just fashion.

I don’t think your products are expensive considering the design and the quality of the work. In fact, I think it’s cool you offer a bunch of different metals so anyone could afford your work. Huge fan here and owner of about 20 pieces!
