This bell pendant is inspired by the reptilian Aldabra tortoise. This tortoise can get up to 550 lbs and are considered the second largest tortoise in the world. They can live up to 150 years, although one was known to get to 255!
They’re native to the Aldabra island northeast of Madagascar. They’re found both individually and in herds. Sadly they are considered a vulnerable species, meaning they’re almost endangered. The biggest threat to these beautiful creatures is humans. Although as babies they can be preyed upon by non native cats and giant land crabs.
The Aldabra tortoise has a huge dome-shaped shell, which protects the soft and fragile body of the tortoise underneath it. To make the sound of our brass tortoise bell more crisp, the top of the shell has been enhanced and raised for the acoustics. The recognizable pattern on its back also enriches the surface texture of the bell. when it is ringing, it sounds like the beautiful melody of life.

Accessories, made of copper, do not require special maintenance during used period, just need to keep it in a dry place and stay away from acid detergent, salt cleaner and various oil, chloride and other chemical materials, which will cause corrosion on the surface of the product. Avoiding to use cleaning tools to prevent surface scratches. The maintenance methods of 925 sterling silver are same as above.
