I added filigree flower bead caps to simulate the bird feeding on flower nectar. I’m in love with this piece and will definitely get another pair! My only wish is that there are bigger pairs of hummingbird earrings made in the future, a version with a flower as part of the piece is added, and that aqua blue becomes a gemstone option for customization as well! These earrings are dainty and beautiful. My wife loved these. There is a small issue that the beak of the bird also doubles as the peg for the ear and so the humming bird's head ends up touching the ear which diminishes the beauty of the earring. Would be better if the head could remain a bit further from the ears
