About
The Chitala, also known as the knife fish for its sharp shape, is a silverfish commonly found in India. It has been recreated in the form of this handcrafted brass box opener. This item is strong enough to help with even the toughest of boxes. But, because functionality means little if there is no safety, we've also made a product that is blunt enough to be held even by small children.

Chitala Box Opener
I didn't have trouble opening a box with this, and it lives on my desk top looking handsome among the other coppertist tools I have. What is useful should also b beautiful.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write us a review, we so appreciate it!
I try to open some boxes and I couldn't, it's not sharp, you can not open any box 😑
so sorry for the inconvenience.
Because of transportation safety issues, we couldn't make it very sharp.
If you want to make it sharper, you can grind it by yourself.
Please kindly understand.
Great little tool that really makes box opening a joy. Fantastic service.
So glad you love the design of our product! Thank you so much for taking the time to write us a review, we really appreciate it!
I thought this would be sharp enough to open boxes, but it's not.
I'm a little disappointed that I thought I was buying a box cutter, and I got an expensive tiny statue instead.
Hello, because of the safety problem, we send to the customer without cutting edge, so you need to polish by yourself
What a beautiful object! I bought it as a gift for my partner and he loves it. Such a cool box opener.
