Huang Zhong

This Huang Zhong is the bespoke Brass & White Bronze edition: a magnetic articulated figure of 21 independent metal parts, 2.12 in / 54 mm tall, 1.41 in / 36 mm wide and 3.17 oz / 90 g, delivered as the base kit with the Qilin Bow, the quiver and one arrow.

The two metals split the figure visually. The helmet, skirt armour and boots stay silver-white while the crest, the lion-head shoulder guards, the long beard, the belt ornament, the bow limbs and the arrow come up warm brass. It is made to order with 3-4 weeks of production. Within the Eastern Soldier Collection it follows the family's fit rules: Heaven's Mantle does not fit, while Pumpkin Head, Grin Demon Head, Heroic Steed and Heroic Steed Aegis Armor do.

About This Material

Brass & White Bronze is the entry point into the made-to-order finishes: of the four bespoke editions it is the one priced closest to the standard bronze, copper and white bronze release. It is a solid two-metal build rather than a plated surface, and it is the only bespoke Huang Zhong whose armour keeps both a warm and a cool tone in the same piece. Because the finish is a mix of two metals, small tonal variation between pieces is part of how it is made.

Compatibility

Finish does not change fit. On this edition, as on every Huang Zhong, the winged Heaven's Mantle is not compatible while Pumpkin Head, Grin Demon Head, Heroic Steed and Heroic Steed Aegis Armor are. This listing is the base kit only — figure, Qilin Bow, quiver and one arrow — so a horse or a head swap is a separate purchase.

Series Placement

Huang Zhong belongs to the Eastern Soldier Collection, the magnetic soldier range pictured on the series card in the gallery with eighteen figures including Zhao Yun, Guan Yu, Zhang Fei, General Lü Bu, Jin Wuzhu, Lin Chong and Beiwei Army Warrior, alongside Wukong, Qin Shi Huang and the Qin, Song and Jin infantry. Engraving goes on the back plate, up to 20 characters. This edition is made to order, so allow 3-4 weeks of production before shipping; the engraving and the material choice are both handled in that window.
