About
The Fierce Tiger Shield is a traditional Chinese Tiger Shield inspired by an original Qing Dynasty tiger-head shield preserved in the Palace Museum. Designed to embody authority and protection, this shield captures the fierce presence once used to intimidate enemies and safeguard its bearer.
At its center stands a powerful tiger head, mouth open, fangs exposed, eyes wide and unblinking. Surrounding decorative patterns enhance the visual impact, amplifying the tiger’s natural dominance. In Chinese culture, the tiger is a guardian spirit—symbolizing courage, military power, and the ability to repel evil.
This Tiger Head Shield was historically more than defensive equipment. Its purpose was psychological as well as physical: to project fear, command respect, and represent imperial authority on the battlefield and in ceremonial settings.
